Did I ever tell you about the time …

.... how we began this journey?

It all started with my mom’s creativity. In mid-2016, she began making t-shirts for our closest friends and family, just because they asked. The buzz quickly caught on, and when we saw how much people loved them, we knew we had to turn this moment into something bigger. That's how our journey began!

The start was amazing, but it wasn't easy. We had our share of lows and losses. In our first year, two companies we signed deals with completely fell through. One had production issues (yes, we were new and a bit naive back then), and the other one placed an order and just never picked it up! We were heartbroken—we even shed a few tears.

“The only impossible journey is the one you never begin” – Tony Robbins

“She remembered who she was and the game changed” – Lalah Delia. My mother always taught us by example, and she taught me that hard work is key, but so is being unique. She showed us how to do that by incorporating the work of local Nepalese artisans. "Being true to yourself and being unique will take you a long way," she always said. After extensive research into new materials, hand-dyeing, and hand-printing, we had a new idea. This meant starting from the very beginning with each design, with a whole team of local artisans pouring hours of love and labour into every piece, hand-made in Nepal. Seeing creative craftspeople leaving our communities to find better opportunities abroad, our ambition to grow this business became even more important. Providing a good life for our team and allowing them to stay close to their families is something we care about deeply.

The French Dress, which we made in early 2017, was the first dress we ever created, and we still sell it today. The love we received for it opened up so many new doors, and we are so grateful for this journey and for all of our clients.

And that's how we continue to create with love.
